Photography Challenge - Week 6
28th April - 5th May 2020
Photography challenges are a great way to develop your photography skills, learn new techniques and test your creativity. Over the next 12 weeks we’ll be running a series of weekly photography challenges exclusively for members to help you practice your photography.
This week's challenge is...
How to get creative
Wine glasses, vases, ornaments or even readings glasses… Chances are you have at least some sort of glass laying around the house.
This week’s challenge will test your creativity, as well as your control of light. Glass can be a tricky subject to photograph, especially if you choose to photograph something clear. However, with this challenge comes a host of opportunity too. Before you start think carefully about the shot you want to create and consider your lighting, lens choice, colours, background and props.
Below are a few useful links that you may want to refer to to help you for ideas and inspiration.
About the challenge
We’d love for all our members to get involved in our weekly challenges, but to ensure everyone gets maximum benefit from these, there are a few guidelines...
- Members can submit any one image (taken at any time) for the challenge but we encourage you to challenge yourself and submit images taken during the week. A second image can be uploaded to show this (i.e with your phone in shot with the date showing).
- All images submitted to our Facebook group will be displayed in a members gallery on Karl Taylor Education.
- Images should be 2000px on the longest side.
- Cut off for submissions will be 00:00 BST / 19:00 EDT the Monday before the image review.
A breakdown of these guidelines can also be found on the Facebook group.
