Softboxes: Softbox lighting & theory

Live Workshop – Softbox lighting

12th September 2019 – 18:00 BST / 13:00 EDT

Watch Replay

Softboxes are incredibly popular lighting modifiers — they’re versatile, affordable and fairly portable — and they’ll once again have their chance to shine in this informative photography workshop.

Karl will explain how to correctly use these modifiers and examine the theory and science behind them. He’ll be reviewing examples of different results and detail how, why and what is best practice for using softboxes.

As always, Karl will be taking your questions live throughout the show, so if you have any questions about softboxes, how to use them or what the differences are between different sizes or shapes, then you won’t want to miss this show!

    Hi Jorge

Thanks for your comment. This show will focus more on softbox lighting rather than creating black and white images. You can watch our previous live show ‘ Live Workshop – Portrait & Beauty Lighting’ where Karl shoots B&W images or watch our Post Production class with Viktor Fejes ‘Proper black and white conversions’, which covers this 🙂

  2. Hi Karl,

As always, looking forward to this show.
I see a stunning image of a girl. Are you planning to teach how to create and retouch B&W images?

    Kind regards and thanks,
