Photography Challenge - Week 7
5th May - 12th May 2020
Photography challenges are a great way to develop your photography skills, learn new techniques and test your creativity. We’re now more than half-way through our 12-week photography challenge and we’ve seen some great submissions by members over the weeks. Each challenge has been designed to encourage members to continue their photography while trying new things, practicing different techniques and flexing their creativity.
This week's challenge is...
How to get creative
Technology — it’s everywhere. From watches that remind us to move to temperature controlled coffee mugs, technology has become an integral part of our daily lives. For this week’s challenge we’d like to see your technology photos. With such a wide variety of objects to choose from, the creative possibilities are endless. Remember to think about the product: asses what the best angle is to shoot it from; think about the different surface textures and how best to light them and consider what background to use. This is also a great opportunity to practice your post production skills as product photos often require at least some level of retouching. As usual, we can’t wait to see what you come up with!
To help you get started, here are a few classes that you can use for inspiration and ideas.
About the challenge
We’d love for all our members to get involved in our weekly challenges, but to ensure everyone gets maximum benefit from these, there are a few guidelines...
- Members can submit any one image (taken at any time) for the challenge but in the spirit of the challenge we encourage you to post images taken during the week. A second image can be uploaded to show this (i.e with your phone in shot with the date showing).
- All images submitted to our Facebook group will be displayed in a members gallery on Karl Taylor Education.
- Images should be 2000px on the longest side.
