Photography Challenge - Week 21
11th August - 18th August 2020
Our ongoing weekly photography challenges are a great way to develop your photography skills, learn new techniques and test your creativity. While some may be more challenging that others, each theme is specifically considered to be achievable whether you’re working from home or have access to a studio.
This week's challenge is...
How to get creative
After last week’s challenge, we’re giving you something totally different to sink your teeth in to this week: fruit. This might sound simple, but for anyone who’s watched our fresh berries food photography course you’ll know that a lot of time, patience and precision is often required to get to the end result.
Whether you’re creating elaborate fruit arrangements, quirky still life images or close-up detail shots, this week’s theme provides a host of creative opportunity. It will also test your lighting skills with different textures and shapes and challenge you to think creatively about background choice, composition and even lens selection. If you’re looking for ideas or inspiration, the classes below will offer some guidance and tips.
About the challenge
We’d love for all our members to get involved in our weekly challenges, but to ensure everyone gets maximum benefit from these, there are a few guidelines...
- Members can submit any one image (taken at any time) for the challenge but in the spirit of the challenge we encourage you to post images taken during the week. A second image can be uploaded to show this (i.e with your phone in shot with the date showing).
- All images submitted to our Facebook group will be displayed in a members gallery on Karl Taylor Education.
- Images should be 2000px on the longest side.
