Like you, I found upping the ISO to give a nice fast shutter speed get a better hit rate. It certainly helped with birds in flight. I was always told to have the shutter in excess of the focal length, so 500/s for a 300mm or 125th for 100mm etc. November 22, 2018 Log in to Reply Karl Taylor Hi Chris, yes the old rule of shutter faster than focal length rule has stood the test of time 🙂 March 8, 2018 Log in to Reply David Morgan Karl, which E-numbers did you use? lol March 12, 2018 Log in to Reply Karl Taylor Ha Ha, they probably ate some sweets before we got started!
