‘Beautiful Light Competition Winners
Here are the winners of our ‘Beautiful Light’ photography competition.
This month’s theme of ‘Beautiful Light’ proved highly popular and we received an incredible amount of entries – from landscapes to products to portraits.
Light is an essential part of any photograph – it can make or break an image. Hard light, soft light, clear early morning light or technically perfect studio light – this month’s theme allowed for a great scope of variety, and our members didn’t disappoint. With a Broncolor Siros Lighting Kit up for grabs, the competition was fierce and this fantastic prize will allow our winner to create their own beautiful light – whenever and wherever they want.
The winner of the Broncolor Siros Lighting Kit is…
1st Place – Romeo Bodolai
This shot by Romeo is a stunning capture that features multiple elements of beautiful light: the light shining through the fishing net catching the water drops, coupled with the dappled light reflecting on the roof of the cave and light rays through the haze are all beautiful light. Romeo wins himself a Broncolor Siros Lighting Kit for this shot, which was taken in Myanmar.
2nd Place – Denis Lomme
This shot by Denis Lomme, taken at the Mer de glace in Chamonix, was a favourite amongst the team and a perfectly captured moment of the afternoon light breaking through the clouds. Denis wins a Lee Filters Big Stopper.
3rd Place – Jad Warde
This simple but very clever shot by Jad was taken using natural light through a window. The diagonal lines create an interesting dynamic and we thought this was a unique take on the theme ‘Beautiful Light’. Jad wins Karl Taylor Color Effects & Technical Lighting Packs.
